We had our friends the Larsens over for some Halloween fun.... there's nothing quite like carving pumpkins! Both of my kids hated reaching into the pumpkin to clean out the "guts," but they loved using the carving tool.
Rachel was the master pumpkin carver. Her 2 year old asked her to carve a skeleton with fire around it.... yes a 2 year old!

Ashlyn's pumpkin is finally cleaned out and ready to carve.

Tanner proud as can be of his pumpkin!

My fearless rock climber!
The month of October the Monarch butterflies have a massive migration to Pacific Grove (the little town we stayed in right outside of Monterey). They have this Grove where millions of butterflies come every year. We were hoping to be there when they came, but only a few had made it this year- were about a week too early. Bummer!
