A wrap up of March

March was a busy month.  We had lots of projects going on including moving rooms around.  Ashlyn graciously gave up her room for the baby's room so we let her pick the new color and bedding for her new room.  It is a BRIGHT purple, and she loves it!  And as you can see we had plenty of help painting!

There were plenty of perfect kite flying days this month.
Ashlyn was a pro at flying the kite.

Tanner loved it too.  But it did seem to crash a lot more when he was holding onto it!

He preferred hanging out with mom.  He is such a sweet boy, and does the cutest things like linking arms with me just while we are sitting there.

We had an Easter Egg Hunt at my brother Matt's house.  This is always a huge hit.

Ashlyn had her eggs found in no time.

And Tanner didn't need any help finding the eggs either!

Nor did he need any help opening and eating them!

Happy Birthday Tanner Boy!

Our Tanner Boy is 3!
Crazy how with being pregnant time feels like it is standing still, yet at the same time when I think that Tanner is already 3 time feels like it is flying by.
Tanner had a GREAT birthday packed full of fun!
He got to play with his best friends Jacob and Crystann ALL day!
They all got to go to Chick-fil-A for lunch and then back to our house to play and have cupcakes!
Then when Ashlyn got home from school we headed to Chucky Cheese for dinner.  Ashlyn couldn't contain her excitement.
Where Tanner couldn't keep his eyes open!  The poor kid had been playing all day he was exhausted!  Chucky Cheese sounded like fun at home, but he was having second thoughts as he sat in the car on the way there and realized how tired he was!
Once we got there it didn't take him long to wake up and have some fun!
What kid doesn't love rides and games
It was then onto cupcakes round 2
What a handsome little guy!  He was so tuckered out by this time he didn't even realize he hadn't opened his present up from mom and dad.  He had his friends presents to play with all day so we just saved his present for the next day.
Look at those strong muscles that could open up such a big present that it had to be wrapped in a garbage bag!
The much coveted Castle (my parents have this castle at their house and it is a grand kid favorite.  All my sister-in-laws have tried to find it to buy for their kids and they don't make it anymore.  I bought this 2 years ago the day after Thanksgiving and have held on to it this long until he was old enough to play with it)!  He was so excited to have his own castle!
This handsome little dude brings so much JOY into our lives.  I love everything about him!  He is growing and learning like crazy.  He has been potty trained for the last couple of weeks and is doing awesome with that.  Once he decided it was cool to be a big boy he has never looked back!  We love you Tanner!

Creative Entertainment

If you're not sure what to do with your old computer.... send it our way!  As Brad and I were cleaning out and working on projects we needed something to occupy the kids.  Brad just gave them the old computer that we were getting rid of and a couple of screw drivers and they were busy for hours!

They were so diligent getting EVERY screw out of that thing.
They even took out the disc drivers and took them apart.
They loved every minute of it!  This is right up Tanner's ally!  Taking something apart and getting to use his favorite tool the screw driver!

Dance Costumes

We have been cleaning out our storage room and getting rooms shifted around to get ready for the baby.  As we were cleaning out Ashlyn found the tote of my old dance costumes.  She had to try them all on and of coarse needed a picture of everyone!  I can't believe my little girl is wearing the dresses I used to wear!

Bikes!

An afternoon of somewhat warmer weather called for some bike riding!  I love the look of shear joy on Tanner's face- he has been locked inside for WAY too long and was loving the freedom and fresh air of being outside!
Ashlyn asked Brad if he would take the training wheels off her bike so he did and she hopped on and took off just like that.  We didn't have to do any of the holding on to the seat and running behind her- it was all her!
Riding like a pro in just minutes!
Tanner has the same mind as his dad- he has to know how everything works and he loves to fix things- apparently his wheels needed some work!
