An email we sent out to family and friends-
Family and Friends-
As most of you probably remember New Year's Day 2003 is a day Brad and I won't ever forget. We are reminded every New Year how lucky and blessed we are to have our lives and to have been able to have a family. We celebrate every New Year with eating Bacon- because as you know that is what saved "our bacon"! But this year we thought it would be fun to celebrate the New Year with all the people in our lives that mean so much to us. So if you don't already have plans New Year's Day we would love to have you over for some homemade scones and bacon. Since most of you party animals will probably be out late the night before instead of doing an early breakfast we are going to make it more of a brunch- open house style. Feel free to drop by any time between 11:00am-1:30pm for some great company and some great food!Let me know if you think you are able to make it so I have an idea on how much dough to make and bacon to buy. We would love to see you all there, but if you aren't able to make it we wish you a very Happy New Year and hope that this year brings much happiness and blessings to you and your family.
Hope to see you all soon-
Heidi and Brad
We had a great turnout and fed scones and bacon to over 30 people. Sadly I was busy talking and cooking most of the time so I didn't get pictures of everyone, but here are a few I did get.
Over the Holidays Ashlyn and her BFF Afton didn't seen eachother much, they were so excited to see eachother as you can see!
All of Brad's family that lives in Utah came. We again missed his dad as he is recovering from Tripple Bypass Surgery in the hospital. We wondered how the cardiologist would feel if we snuck in scones and bacon to the cardiac floor... probably wouldn't be a fan!
I loved this picture of Ashlyn and Alea. Ashlyn loves to make her smile and is just sure that Alea likes her the best out of anyone- which is probably true. Every time I have tried to hold her she cries, and Ashlyn can always make her smile!
My sister Kambria and Brad's mom.

I think we are going to make this a tradition- so if you ever don't have plans on New Year's Day come on over to the Gunnell's for scones and bacon! We will start your new year nice and healthy!
