St. George Getaway

It wasn't far, but we got away! I was desperate for some sunshine, and we were lucky and got some. It was so nice in St. George. Jacket weather in the morning and at night, but during the day it was in the low 60's.

We rented a condo and shared it with my brother Bryce and his family. Since Ashlyn and her cousin Sam are pretty much obsessed with eachother it made it really nice. They entertained eachother the entire trip. It is amazing that they never get sick of eachother. If it was up to Ashlyn we would have spent the entire trip at the Park or playing at St. Geroge (she called the condo St. George- she still has no clue it is an actual city). We went to the park several times, but managed to get a few other things in there too (ex: shopping, swimming, eating, eating, and eating some more!)
Tanner sat on grass for the first time- he loved picking through it and tried to eat the grass several times! We spent Sunday evening at the St. George Temple. Ashlyn was so excited to see flowers. She asks me all the time if it is springtime yet and when will the flowers start growing again.

One of the highlights of the trip was getting to go on a helicopter ride. There was a new golf coarse that was having its grand opening and was giving helicopter rides. Only the adults were able to go, but the kids loved watching. And as you can see it was a gorgeous day outside.

All in all the trip was great. We haven't really traveled with our kids before so this was the perfect vacation for our first time. We were nervous for the car ride and that was a breeze. Both kids did great in the car. Sleeping was a challenge, but got better each night. I guess we'll just have to get away more so our kids get used to sleeping different places!

We were there the same weekend! I can't beleive we didn't run into each other. It was gorgeous weather wasn't it? Made me want spring to come NOW. Cute pictures, and I am jealous of the helicopter ride. I wanted to do it but Jeremy (hubby) won't go up in one and I didn't want to do it alone. Anyway, sounds like you had as much fun as we did.

Totally jealous. Sunshine? Warmth? What's that? Been so long I can't remember.
