2nd Sunday Chaos

Every 2nd Sunday of the month my family gets together for dinner (usually at my parents house), but this month we hosted the dinner to celebrate my dad and Tina's birthday.

The birthday card my sister Kambria and her girls made my dad was the best....Can you read it? (Dad/Grandpa- You've had another "nutrageous" year! A few "payday's" have been lost along the way, but we're glad you didn't "rolover". Many "good and plenty" years are yet to come. So "Take 5" from your "whatamacalit" projects and take your "kissable" wife to Hawaii for "mounds" of fun!)

My dad is amazing! I don't remember a time in my life where I have ever not "liked" my dad. Even as a teenager I remember not wanting to do anything that would disappoint him because I respected him so much. He was always the cool dad that took us toilet papering and was diving in the bushes hiding from cars like the rest of us. I've always had a good time with my dad, but I've also learned a lot from him. He is such a great example to me of trusting in the Lord and knowing that the Lord will always take care of you if you are doing what is right. Even when life doesn't seem fair I never hear my dad question his faith, and he has had his fair share of trials. I love you Pops!

A few pictures from the night....Our backyard is finally coming together, and it was fun to have everyone over. Brad only had a heart attack once when the kids got into a rubber war (that rubber is awesome, but kind of a pain to keep in the playground area- kids love to throw it on the grass).

I couldn't resist posting this picture of Tanner. Tanner had a rough night (seems to be happening a lot lately). Sundays are hard days regardless, but 1:00 church makes them almost unbearable; then add hitting your head twice with the swing and having 30 people invade your house and space... he was less than happy. If I was not holding him he was crying, and if I was ever out of his sight he LOST it! In this picture my sister had just tried to hold him (I was sitting on the couch next to her). As you can see it didn't go over all that well with him!
