FINALLY summer weather! After spending Wednesday and Thursday at the cabin where it was 40 degrees and snowing, we were excited to have some warmer weather Friday night. We took the kids to Wheeler Farm.
We had a fun picnic. Ashlyn loved not having to stay in her chair while she was eating, and was running everywhere (every picture I have of her is blurry because she was always moving). Tanner didn't venture more than 1 foot from the pizza box the entire time- he knew what he wanted!
Ashlyn loves feeding the ducks and geese. This year she could tell the difference between the two and really wanted the bread to get to the ducks and the not the mean geese. She would throw the bread extra far to the smaller ducks and get mad when the bigger geese got it.
Tanner caught on really fast to feeding the ducks. I would give him a little piece of bread and he would drop it and giggle when he saw the duck eat it. About every third piece of bread I gave him made it to the ducks though, the rest went right to his mouth! 2 for me... 1 for you!
The kids loved the goats and would have stayed with them all night. They were really cute and actually interested in the kids. Tanner was so excited that I let him get out of the stroller.
This kid has no fear though. He just stuck his hand right in.
Ashlyn built up enough courage to feed the goats. She thought it was the greatest thing that they would eat out of her hand (that is when she actually picked up straw and not rocks).
This was her thumbs up to let us know the goat ate her food!
Tanner fed the pig rocks... and the pig ate them!

Ashlyn had to walk through the little stream.

By the end of the night they were tuckered out!

I love that post. Family time is so important and I love seeing kids having fun and experiencing new things. Don't you just LOVE it? I can't believe the pig at rocks! That is funny.
I haven't been to Wheeler farm in ages! It looks like it is a lot of fun with the kids. We may have to try it out too!
