When I'm getting ready in the morning I usually send Ashlyn downstairs to watch a movie so she's not bugging me the entire time. Friday as I was getting ready to send her downstairs I changed my mind and asked if she'd like to do makeup with me. She looked at me for a minute like "are you serious," and then her face just lit up with excitement. So we headed into the bathroom to do our makeup together. It was hard not to try and control what she did (as you can see she thought the more the better) but I just let her go for it. It was actually a lot of fun, and we seemed to have a better day together. She really is a great kid!

We love having "girl" days at our house. The girls love doing make up, pedicures and manicures! My only advice don't let Ashlyn know she can paint her nails by herself.
Heidi!! I'm so glad you got "brave" enough to leave a comment! As far as you question about Colby not drinking anything...I was nursing him until he was about 11 months and then he all of a sudden one day just weaned himself, which was fine with me. We tried to give him a bottle, cup, sippy, straw, anything to see if he would drink from it but he wanted nothing. He will occasionally take a sip from a cup but that's about it. The doctor said it was okay since baby food has a lot of water in it. He'd rather him be a better eater than drinker. Good luck!
My girls 'sneek' my makeup all the time. I should just orginize something like this, and maybe they would not take it without asking....hmmmmm, I might have to try that! She is so cute!
Oh the things you get to do when you have a girl!!!!!!! My make up just gets ruined and turned into creative things depending on the shape of the make-up. I love it. Hope all is well at your home.
